Me and Mini Me

Toby, a former Pet Haven foster dog of ours, is spending the night with us while his parents enjoy a fun evening out on the town. He and Orlando, our current Red Lake Rosie's Rescue foster, became friends right away. They look like Me and Mini Me-big hound and little beagle.

Toby is so much smaller than Orlando but that did not stop him from trying to tackle his new buddy. Toby did a lot of playing standing on his back legs. Look at how his ears are flying.

Even Orlando got into the flying ear play style. This shot with his ears up, makes Orlando look more like a shepherd.

At last Toby was able to wrestle Orlando to the ground. Way to go Mini Me. It is so fun to watch these boys romp around enjoying this fabulous weather.

And where was our dog Buddy this whole time? Running around with the ball of course.

Fun in the Orlando Sun!

It is chilly outside but the sunshine feels so good. The dogs had some playtime in the snow. Orlando is not sure what to do when you through a ball. And if it goes too far into the snow he can not find it.

He would rather play with the milk jug. Hey free toys. Gotta love that.

Orlando has had lots of visitors. Most say he is bigger than they expected. My Buddy is 40lb. He looks like midget compared to Orlando.

Look at the size of his paws. Orlando is a big boy. But he is so calm that he does not seem to take up all that much space.

Orlando is trying new things everyday. Remember when he would not come out of the kitchen. Well now he makes himself quite comfy on the couch. If you are interested in sharing your couch with sunny Orlando check out his Red Lake Rosie's bio.

Frisbee is a Dog's Best Friend

Here at Rescue Buddy Boarding & Beyond the dogs love playing with the plastic flying saucers. Fred Morrison, inventor of the Frisbee, died at the age of 90. Read about his journey story in the Star Tribune today.

Cinnamon, a Pet Haven foster dog, would love a home with a fenced in yard and some kids to play Frisbee with.

Valentine's Day sweaters

Mom is still knitting away making dog sweaters as a fund raiser for Red Lake Rosie's Rescue. Here are two red and white ones for Valentine's Day. They are mediums.

Clarence and Orlando

Clarence would like to thank everyone for voting for him in the Twin Cities Puppy Bowl. Even though he did not win MVP he is the most valuable puppy to us.

Clarence came over for a visit yesterday. He met Orlando. At first Clarence was a little timid but it did not take long before the two were playing together.

For those of you following Orlando's progress you can see he made it into the living room. He has yet to go up the second floor stairs but is content to sleep on the downstairs bed.

Sunday Orlando had a spa day at Pampered Pooch Playground with his new favorite friend, Jenny. She was so patient with him and did a great job grooming the big boy. Now he is all sweet smelling and ready for a forever home. Thanks so much Jenny.
